So my client had a WP site running the Twenty Ten theme and wanted some added functionality. Namely a way he could more easily write his glossary terms for the site. Since I couldn’t modify the theme, I devised this plugin, which allows me to easily patch it if needed at a later point in time. But it gives a user the ability to add Glossary terms via custom post type, and can even add custom example texts and classify them accordingly. I will be turning this into a full-fledged plugin and plan to submit it to the WordPress plugin repository in the coming week(s) so stay tuned :)

So I joined this sweet service called Rookie Drafft. It’s a bit of a recruiting site for people to display their work and potentially be invited by Dribbblr members. It also has some smaller pieces that aren’t in my portfolio, but figured it was a good place to demo them as well.

This was a redesign of my friend’s portfolio site I initially did for him. The premise was simple, we wanted a better way to showcase his work. So I figured it was as easy as turning the browser into a full window gallery. This is the first iteration of the new design. We’ve planned some new features to be included in a future release and will end up being my first WP theme I intend to distribute.

I like this piece. It was a simple branding exercise I had the opportunity to do the album art for the EP my friend is doing with his band. (I just so happen to I play in it as well :P) But I wanted to go with a fairly simple design that still had an edge to it.

Mauldin Heinrich is Chiropractic office in Austin, TX. I designed and built their first website early on in my career and this is more or less a redemption. The warm and inviting nature of the redesign reflects their practice; giving potential patients a good first impression. The physical site is scheduled for completion soon.

So this is a redesign of a previous site I built for a client. In my opinion it was a much need improvement over my old implementation, however they have not shown interest in updating the site. So for now it will just be another piece I’d like to show off. Improvements in spacing, layout and general information flow were my key focuses.

This was a project for my Web Design II class Fall of 2010. Our “client” was a local Austin, TX tech company that we were challenged with re-designing their web presense. Too bad this isn’t their current site, but I couldn’t write this one off as “Just another school portfolio piece”.

I particularly enjoyed this project. My friend needed a portfolio site, so I developed this layout that presents each piece as if on a piece of matteboard. The style is dark, but that’s merely to emphasize the artwork.

This was a fun project for a landscaping materials company here in Central Texas. The goal was to update their previous site and make it more playful. With the warm earthy tones helps to liven the site up a bit while still being reserved and collected.

This is the logo for my band Oveja Negra. This is my solo project I’ve worked on since 2005 and haven’t made a whole lot of headway, but it’s a place for me to experiment musically.
